Remote Research Librarian position for west coast hours. Great place to work certified. Exceptional opportunity for the candidate with the following qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with extensive legal research using multiple databases
  • Ability to train and support attorneys and staff needing help with research
  • Monitor alerts for various databases
  • Provide evaluations and participate in selecting new technologies to make research easier for attorneys, paralegals and staff
  • Work with firm professionals to build a strong working relationship for research needs and special projects
  • Attend vendor events, and trainings as well as participation in professional societies
  • Ability to learn new technologies and work collaboratively with law firm staff

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Library Sciences or Masters of Law preferred will consider Paralegal Degree with 3+experience in a law firm
  • Ability to organize and prioritize – highly detail-oriented with great communication skills
  • Excellent research experience with knowledge of Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Thomson, and other legal databases.
  • Understanding of law firm technology
  • Self-starter who does not need to be micromanaged
  • Professional who will take initiative and is an independent thinker
  • Works well with deadlines and has a positive attitude
