Employee Wellness Intern
Description:
· Beach Cities Health District is a public agency formed in 1955 by the voters of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach to provide health care services in the community.
· The Wellness Intern will assist with wellness program development and the implementation of CoreHealth Wellness Technology Software overseen by Chief Wellness Officer.
Duties:
- Review and assist with creating worksite wellness programming both internally within BCHD and externally with community partners.
- Research & implement employee wellness best practices and trends
- Utilize Corehealth software platform to design user interface for wellness challenges
- Develop user-friendly guides regarding customization for future users
- Compose health & wellness tips based on elements of well-being (purpose, social, community, finance, & physical)
- Participate in meetings with potential vendors and wellness partners
Qualifications Needed:
- Pursuing degree in business, health promotion, public health or related field
- Possess web-interface aptitude (functional knowledge of HTML5 and CCS3 a plus)
· Ability to work independently and remain flexible in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
