Private Equity Business Development Intern Training Program

Blackmore Partners is offering an exciting opportunity for ambitious candidates seeking experience in the Corporate and Private Equity field. As a participant in our unpaid, remote internship training program, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the deal process, including sourcing and qualification. You will have the opportunity to get involved in special projects and collaborate closely with other interns in small teams to execute and monitor front-end processes of our business. 

At Blackmore Partners, we value initiative and self-starters. You will be responsible for executing your tasks, monitoring their impact, and developing strategies to improve the quality of your results. We do not teach or require financial analysis or modeling during the program.   

This is a 3 or 6-month unpaid internship that requires a commitment of 30-40 hours per week. The position is eligible for college credit with university approval. To be considered, applicants must have a stable computer/laptop, Wi-Fi, and working webcam. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Conduct industry, private equity, and company research using D&B Hoovers, Pitchbook, and Cyndx to identify potential acquisition targets
  • Manage and organize relationships with Capital Providers and c-suite executives using our software and database management tools like Microsoft 365 and Infusionsoft
  • Screen and qualify c-suite executives for deal sourcing, working closely with our team to ensure that we are targeting the right individuals
  • Manage the sending and tracking of NDA and fee agreements via e-signature to ensure seamless communication with clients
  • Report and analyze data on active platform results to help guide decision-making and business strategy
  • Promote our software and services to c-suite executives through outreach via email, video, and phone calls, building a strong deal-sourcing funnel of executives in the system
  • Assist with the preparation and participation of the BlackmoreConnects virtual conference with executives and capital providers, ensuring a successful event for all involved parties
  • Use power automation to streamline outreach efforts via email
  • Attend and take notes during client meetings and transcribe the call to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of communication. And set up meetings for our Managing Director
  • Regularly report daily activity to your supervisor, ensuring transparency and clear communication
  • Review and respond to emails from executives in the company's account, demonstrating professionalism and excellent written communication skills
  • Work on special projects directly with the Managing Director to support the growth and success of the company. 
  • Help the organization and internal research of our conferences and webinars 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Business/Accounting or relevant field preferred
  • Understanding of financial markets and business strategy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (Reading, Speaking, and Writing) with team members and supervisors
  • Works well independently and in small team settings with high attention to details
  • Punctuality, ability to meet deadlines using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good research skills and ability to perform industry research on time
  • Must have a stable computer/laptop, Wi-Fi, and working webcam
  • Show strong technical proficiency and computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Management (PLUS)
  • Experience with using LinkedIn, /or any database management tool is a (PLUS)
