Policy Research and Communications Intern

Whiteboard Advisors is seeking a top-notch fellow to join us part-time (up to 29 hours a week). This is a paid internship opportunity for a college student or recent graduate who is motivated to learn more about research, communications, and education and workforce policy.

 

At Whiteboard Advisors, our fellows are a valuable part of our team. They monitor the media for breaking news and relevant commentary, assist with policy research and writing, and support the planning and execution of events. The small size of our firm allows fellows to work closely with senior team members and provides opportunities for substantive work. 


Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have strong research abilities, a keen attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Previous remote work experience and a major in public policy, communications, political science, or education is preferred, but not required.
  • Interest in education (early childhood and K-12) and workforce development is also preferred.
     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft documents, memos, and presentations for internal and external projects
  • Support planning and development for events and influencer engagements 
  • Research and synthesize news, legislation, and guidance at federal, state, and local level
