Health Facilities Surveyor (Staff Services Analyst), JC-406237
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Center for Health Care Quality has an opening for a Health Facilities Surveyor . Recent graduates looking to enter a career in Public Health, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or other related fields are encouraged to apply. This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by planning, coordinating, and conducting health facility surveys and investigations of average complexity to determine the health care facilities’ compliance with State and federal licensing and certification requirements for the Life Safety Code Section (LSC), Licensing and Certification, Department of Public Health.
Job Duties include:
- Individually or as part of a team, travel to and conduct routine to average complexity surveys of healthcare facilities to determine compliance with State licensing and federal certification requirements, concerning the physical structure, operation, construction and environmental conditions of the facility.
- Conduct and document standard interviews of healthcare facilities’ residents, staff, and other relevant personnel.
- Fully document all evidence relating to non-compliance, including scope and severity, for legal actions.
