GOBankingRates is seeking a Data QA Engineering Intern for our 2023 GOInterns Program!
Do you have a passion for working with data to identify complex problems using automated test scripts and can deliver quality quickly? We are looking for you!
This is a minimum 12-week internship beginning in April 2023 that will provide hands-on experience working on challenging real-world problems that will help build your expertise and resume! This is a paid internship, at a rate of $17.00/hour.
How Will You Make an Impact?
- Work on various aspects of data quality, and build automated test scripts using Python to validate functional logic, data quality & integrity.
- Work on Cloud computing and data storage platforms like Snowflake, and AWS-redshift
- You will be mentored in the company's Quality Assurance process, and release management processes
- Gain an understanding of SDLC using agile methodologies.
What We're Looking For
- Enrolled in or completed Bachelor of Computer Science Degree
- Experience in writing complex SQL queries
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts such as star schemas, dimensions, facts
- Experience in using python (pytest will be a plus) for validation of data in database or data warehouse which includes automated evaluation of the results of SQL queries which are run programmatically
- Knowledge of object oriented programming concepts
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication and organizational skills
- Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week Monday-Friday between 9:00AM - 6:00PM PST for the duration of the 12-week program
