Student Assistant - Cultural Resources Unit (Remote)

The California Energy Commission, Cultural Resources Unit is seeking a student assistant or graduate assistant to work closely with cultural resources staff to organize data and compile reports. 

Minimum Qualifications
The successful applicant should have an interest or passion in pursuing a career in:
  • Archives management
  • Library science
  • Public history
  • Geographic information systems (GIS)
  • Geography
  • Archaeology
  • Anthropology
  • Cultural resources management.


Duties and Responsibilities
The student assistant or graduate assistant will work closely with cultural resources staff to:
  • Organize a large collection of cultural resources data.
  • Input data into a comprehensive Geographic information systems inventory for use by staff. Some information may contain confidential and non-confidential information
  • Reports are used by the Energy Commission during the environmental analysis and compliance process.
