Internal Communications Manager

Imperva’s mission is to help organizations protect data and all paths to it. We seek an Internal Communications Manager who will create, execute and implement internal communications strategies and plans that engage, inform and inspire our employees, as well as attract new and diverse talent. You will work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer and other members of the executive leadership team on internal / employee communications activities to support key business initiatives. You have a deep appreciation for how a great place to work starts from within, and have some experience planning, sequencing, developing and distributing, and measuring HR communications. The role reports to the Sr. Manager of Communications.


What you’ll do:

  • Co-develop strategy and delivery of all internal / employee communications; execute, measure and tune for engagement and effectiveness
  • Internal / employee communications for key Imperva executives, including the CHRO, HR team and other senior executives as needed, in support of the company’s business priorities, mission and values
  • Create a unified voice and common messaging for the executive leadership team
  • Work cross-functionally with PR, HR and DE&I teams
  • Create and edit cross-channel communications to inform, engage and inspire (e.g., All Hands, intranet content, newsletters, etc)
  • Drive internal / employee communications deliverables from brand, content and messaging development to logistics, including organization announcements, All Hands meetings presentations, talent acquisition campaigns, annual employee survey and more
  • Write and edit materials including: executive talking points, FAQs, blog posts, narratives, etc
  • Deliver content in new and creative ways that engage and excite employees
  • Help ensure company-wide compliance with Imperva brand guidelines (visual and written identity) in all communications materials
  • Create and activate an internal communications network with key points of contact from within each function


Who you are:

  • 4 years’ experience in an internal / employee communications role within a fast paced/rapid growth global software company; Cybersecurity experience highly desirable but not required
  • Proven experience and comfort collaborating with senior executives, handling sensitive issues and confidential business matters
  • You’re a clear and empathetic communicator possessing strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on simple and conversational style
  • Global experience, understanding and sensitivity to cultural differences
  • A self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Capable of making decisions with enough information and leading the project team to results
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic working environment, demanding a strong sense of urgency and ability to reprioritize often
  • Willing and able to work outside normal business hours when business critical matters arise
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint
  • B.A. degree in Communications or related field plus 8 years’ minimum relevant experience
