Head of Research

Head of Research

We are seeking a highly diligent, detail-oriented Head of Research to become a vital and integral member of the Intersection team. The Head of Research will assist our Partners in their active searches by performing vital research and collaborating to produce client deliverables. In addition, the Head of Research will spearhead several broader company projects to facilitate business operations. 

  • As Intersection’s primary researcher, build intelligence around new fintech leadership hires, tracking and analyzing industry trends and developing our general research agenda
  • Develop and execute research strategies in support of ongoing executive search projects 
  • Collaborate with Partners to produce high-quality deliverables for clients; contribute design and development ideas
  • Curate monthly research to author Intersection’s monthly newsletter 
  • Perform various business-operations-related projects (managing internal database, building reusable templates for collateral and presentation materials, evaluating and improving business processes, etc.)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Highly focussed, with a fastidious attention to detail
  • Able to quickly grasp and understand market dynamics and organizations within the financial services and technology industries
  • A utility player with an unflappable personal style; we are a startup and you should be excited to get involved in many aspects of the business (e.g. events, social media, etc.) as needed
  • Highly entrepreneurial, with an outstanding work-ethic; self-starter
  • A superb communicator with an ability to effectively persuade; polished and articulate
  • Smart and intellectually curious

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of work experience; recruiting or financial services experience will be advantageous 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

This is a full-time position. While the founding team is based in the Bay Area, we are flexible on location and anticipate remaining as remote-first.
