Business Immigration Law Clerk

Our growing corporate immigration law practice is seeking a second or third-year law student to serve as a part-time Law Clerk on a remote basis (until COVID19 pandemic subsides). Please do not apply if you have already graduated law school.

The ideal candidate will be versatile, have great logical reasoning skills, and be motivated to expand their expertise. The role will require a qualified applicant to learn and understand how regulations and case law will influence the facts of a case. The applicant will be working with clients, coworker paralegals as well as attorneys. This is a wonderful opportunity for a smart, hardworking, and motivated future counselor to learn the ropes of delivering positive outcomes to clients, see their critical contributions directly impact the firm's performance, and be rewarded for their efforts. Immigration is a tough industry to be in right now- so you must have the motivation and grit to handle stressful and ever-changing laws. You will gain these skills that will help you become a successful attorney.

The role will involve a high degree of multitasking, extraordinary accuracy, and meeting deadlines. Applicants must be able to take direction from the Managing Attorney on matters relating to their assignments and then follow through on execution. It is expected that applicants will be able to learn new processes and then apply them independently going forward.

The qualified applicant will be comfortable using PCs to prepare, manipulate, and organize various case documents and filings. The firm makes extensive use of online document management in a very “paperless” law office. Therefore, the successful candidate must be fluent in the use of PC computers, and online document management must come naturally. These skills cannot be learned on the job.
