SUMMER 2020 CBS.COM MARKETING INTERN

Division Overview:
  • Our team provides multi-platform promotional support for CBS and CBS All Access programming on CBS.com (desktop + mobile), the CBS App, and OTT.  We also work cross-functionally with CBSi’s Content Strategy, Social, Editorial, Video, Ad Operations, and Integrated Sales Marketing teams to execute display, email marketing, and social media campaigns.

Role Details:
  • This person will gain exposure to various CBSi business verticals and acquire skills, knowledge, and hands-on work experience.  During the course of this internship, this person will complete three rotational assignments in 1) paid social, 2) marketing operations, and 3) cross-functional project management.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Assist with setting up paid social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Assist with curating, programming, and QAing display marketing creatives for CBS.com (desktop + mobile), CBS App, and OTT placements
  • Work cross-functionally with Design, Video, Ad Operations, and Network Marketing teams to assist with creative requests, managing project timelines, prioritizing and tracking deliverables, and facilitating stakeholder approvals
  • Provide additional show support as needed for Love Island, Big Brother, and Star Trek: Discovery
  • Conduct at least 5 informational interviews with team members from other departments
  • Attend live tapings of Big Brother and the Late Late Show with James Corden
  • Attend an on-set promotional shoot for a CBS or CBS All Access show
  • Create a capstone presentation outlining your internship experiences and learnings

Logistics
  • Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week. 
  • This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
What you bring to the team: 
You have – 
  • Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or bootcamp
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Avid interest in Entertainment Marketing
  • Proactive, clear, and concise communicator (both verbal and written)
  • Possesses emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a “solutions not blame” mentality
  • Self-motivated, diligent, resourceful, and organized - able to work independently and reliably without being micromanaged

You might also have – 

  • Proficient in G Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Groups, Chat) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
