Your Role:
Reporting into the Head of CEO Office in Burlington, MA, you will play a key role in shaping a new venture that MilliporeSigma is exploring to serve in an emerging scientific area and its constituents. Working with us, you’ll join a dynamic, highly collaborative team that enjoys being “problem solvers” in science.
- You will help MilliporeSigma evaluate a new scientific venture, using your entrepreneurial drive and scientific background.
- Conduct a deep-dive analysis on an emerging scientific topic to understand researchers’ needs and our opportunities to grow our business in a novel field in biology research.
- Collaborate with a cross functional team of internal experts and other interns to drive for actionable outcomes
- You will have the opportunity to develop an operating model and propose a new business plan and strategy.
- Research methodologies could include reading and digesting scientific publications, conducting desk research, interview scientists and other experts etc.
Who you are:
- Pursing a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in science or engineering, preferably in Microbiology, Biology, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Passion, an entrepreneurial spirit, and willingness to have a curious mind to drive initiatives.
- Ability to absorb, understand, and structure large amounts of new information quickly.
- Degree, coursework, or experience in business, working in a startup, or setting up new venture preferred.
