Private Equity Corporate Strategy and Operations

Oceanview Capital Partners, Inc. is currently accepting applications for its Corporate Strategy and Operations Internship Program, a feeder to full-time operations and management roles in over half a dozen portfolio companies.

This position represents a unique opportunity for highly motivated individuals to assume a wide set of responsibilities and make a significant impact in a growing, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment at the firm’s headquarters in Glendale, CA.

Oceanview Capital is a growing and thriving boutique firm that provides advisory services to entrepreneur-led companies and invests its own capital in control and non-control investments valued at up to $500 million. Oceanview Capital’s portfolio of companies and advisory clients benefit from the firm’s demonstrated track record in the areas of strategic planning, transaction structuring and exit planning, finance and liquidity management, and corporate governance.

Responsibilities:

As an Oceanview Capital Corporate Strategy and Operations Intern, you will play a role at headquarters and in the operations of select affiliates and portfolio companies, working closely with the ownership and senior management to address strategic business needs.

You will play an integral role in company strategy and operations, potentially executing your recommendations that will be based on your research and data. In your cover letter, please indicate which companies you would like involvement in and the areas you would like to focus on. This is largely a self-guided educational internship where part of the process is for you to identify the areas that interest you in your development.

Qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business Economics, and Accounting majors preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship, portfolio company operations, and company and market research
  • Strong academic record with familiarity with basic accounting, corporate finance concepts, and financial statement analysis
  • Strong research skills with the ability to draw conclusions based on data
  • Availability to work full time during the internship and screening process
  • Strong attention to detail, superior work ethic and integrity, and eagerness to learn
  • High level of energy and flexibility with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, as well as strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, particularly when working with sensitive information
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Must have ties to the Greater Los Angeles area
