Finance Internship

The Intern will assist the Finance team with daily, weekly and monthly tasks. The candidate should possess a general knowledge of basic accounting principles and theory.
 
 
DUTIES & KEY TASKS:
  • Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable and various account analysis and reconciliations 
  • Record keeping and file maintenance
  • Provide support to several electronic initiatives
  • Other projects as assigned
 
 
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Undergraduate studies in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and theory
  • Must receive academic credit or be able to provide an official letter from the school stating that the internship contributes to intern’s education
  • A passion for the mission and values of PCI
 
 
SPECIAL SKILLS PREFERRED:
  • A desire to learn about accounting and the finance operations of an international nonprofit organization
  • Strong analytical skill set and application
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Organization; the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to articulate orally and in writing
  • Thoroughness; strong attention to detail and ensures that work is complete and accurate
 
 
SCHEDULE:
We are looking for dedicated individuals willing to commit to approximately a 3 month internship up to 25 hours per week during business hours.
