Fall Intern, Endurance

Wasserman's Endurance division will provide you with exposure to every facet of the industry. This opportunity is for the creative and passionate undergraduate or graduate student who wishes to further his/her career in sports and learn about sports marketing strategy and execution. Throughout the course of the internship, you will work closely with the entire team by assisting in a variety of interesting projects.

Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.

Duties

  • Conduct research to assist in business development and prospecting efforts.
  • Develop operational plans for events.
  • Create original marketing tools and recap reports for existing clients.
  • Participate in the creative process of developing strategy.
  • Assist in managing overall marketing budgets.
  • Prepare a production and execution timeline for marketing efforts.
  • Assist in communication to internal and external clients and colleagues.
  • Provide general administrative support for the team including creating target lists, making cold calls, researching brands/markets, updating calendars, etc.
  • Evaluate and analyze performance of marketing opportunities, sponsorship strategies, brand integrations, and ROI.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree currently in progress.
  • Must be eligible to receive school credit for this internship.
  • Passion for sports and business.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and problem solve.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-starter who enjoys taking ownership of various projects - both short and long-term in nature.
  • Knowledge of the sports industry - the competitive endurance space is a plus.
  • Prior experience in digital marketing, including Facebook and Google (Adwords, YouTube, GDN) is a plus.
