Human Resources Intern
Position Summary:The Human Resources Intern assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The HR intern supports with responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and employment law.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The HR intern has partial responsibility for these areas:
Support recruiting and staffing logistics;
Support with employee orientation, development, and training logistics and recordkeeping;
assisting with employee relations;
company-wide committee facilitation and participation;
company employee communication;
compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping;
employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting; and
employee services;
maintaining employee files and the HR filing system;
assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills required to interface with employees and management personnel.
Candidates must have intermediate skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Must be a detail oriented/organized individual with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Experience & Education
Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resource Management required

Introductory understanding of legal compliance (EEO, FMLA/Worker’s Compensation Laws) preferred
