Interns receive writing credits and a few talented interns even Report on-air!
This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in broadcast journalism and digital media operations. They will have the opportunity to write news stories, coordinate digital media across all social platforms, update website, assist with production, guest relations, and report on camera.

INTERNSHIP AREAS
1. Social Media & Digital Content
Interns may:
- Manage and post content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Threads and X
- Create and edit Reels, TikToks, Shorts and Stories
- Repurpose television segments into engaging short-form content
- Write captions, hashtags, tags and platform-specific copy
- Create graphics and promotional content in Canva
- Help maintain a weekly social media content calendar
- Review analytics and identify content opportunities and trends
- Help grow Coast to Coast’s digital audience and engagement
Experience with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut or similar platforms is a plus.
2. Video Editing & Television Production
Interns may:
- Edit short television interview segments, including approximately 2-minute Zoom interviews
- Incorporate B-roll, photos, graphics, lower thirds and music
- Edit content for television broadcast, YouTube and social platforms
- Create short-form cutdowns from longer interviews and segments
- Assist with show production, scripts, teleprompter, research and guest preparation
- Help organize footage, graphics and production assets

3. Newsletter, Website & Digital Marketing
Interns may:
- Produce and format the weekly Coast to Coast newsletter using Mailchimp
- Write headlines, subject lines and promotional copy
- Upload and publish blog posts to CoastToCoast.tv
- Turn television segments, interviews and press materials into web stories
- Add photos, video, links and embedded content to website posts
- Help optimize headlines and content for search and social sharing
- Review newsletter analytics, open rates and click-through rates
- Assist with audience growth and digital marketing initiatives
OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL INTERNS
All interns may have opportunities to:
- Write published stories and receive writing credits
- Create blogs and digital content for CoastToCoast.tv
- Assist with television production and entertainment/lifestyle stories
- Attend occasional shoots, events and interviews
- Work directly with the Executive Producer/Host
- Build a portfolio of published professional work
- Receive mentorship in television, journalism and digital media
On-Camera Opportunities
Exceptional interns with strong interviewing skills, editorial judgment and an engaging on-camera presence may be selected to conduct Zoom interviews or contribute to Coast to Coast television and digital segments.
