Seattle Trek - Spring 2018

Do you want to explore Seattle, visit amazing companies and network with Pepperdine alumni on a (mostly) all-expenses paid trip?
Apply for Pepperdine's 2018 Trek!

All you have to do is pay for your flight to Seattle and the Career Center will provide hotel lodging, most meals, and transportation to the company tours. Roundtrip flights from Los Angeles to Seattle cost approximately $150-200.

What is a trek?

Treks are opportunities for Pepperdine undergraduate and graduate students to engage in career exploration by visiting leading companies across the nation. Treks typically include visits to 2-4 organizations. You will receive insight on what it looks like to work at various companies in the Seattle area, learn how you can pursue internship/job opportunities, and gain a better understanding of the city's culture. These visits may include alumni panels, office tours, and networking opportunities that allow you to learn about career paths and to connect with professionals.

Cost

Students need to provide their own transportation to Seattle, WA. 
Note: Lodging is provided from check-in February 28 - check-out March 2 at 4 p.m. Transportation to companies and some meals will be provided.

  1. Briefly, describe why you want to participate in the Seattle Trek. 
  2. Briefly, describe what you hope to gain from participating in the Seattle Trek.
  3. As of today, what are your career interests? What types of internships and/or jobs have you considered? 
Students will be responsible for transportation to Seattle. Lodging and transportation to each company and some meals will be covered by the Seaver College Career Center.
