Social Media Intern

Join the Reseda Church of Christ as a Social Media Intern! We're a vibrant, inclusive faith community in Reseda committed to spiritual growth, authentic belonging, and community transformation. Help us reach and engage our community through strategic social media content. You'll create posts, manage our Facebook/Instagram/TikTok presence, share member stories, and drive visitor engagement. Ideal for students passionate about communications, community building, or nonprofit ministry. Gain real-world marketing and communications experience while making a spiritual and community impact.

POSITION DETAILS

Location: Remote
Hours: 10 hours/week (flexible schedule)
Duration: Flexible (based on student's needs)
Compensation: Unpaid or course credit available
Start Date: July 27, 2026

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create engaging, on-brand content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Design graphics and visual content using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Manage social media posting schedules and community engagement
  • Share member stories and highlight church events and ministry impact
  • Track social media analytics and provide insights to leadership
  • Collaborate with Director of Operations & Communications on content strategy

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience with Instagram and Facebook (posting, engagement, features)
  • Content creation and design skills
  • Proficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with TikTok or other emerging social platforms
  • Basic video editing experience
  • Understanding of nonprofit or faith-based communications
  • Experience managing social media accounts or digital marketing
