Role
Equinix is seeking a user experience design intern with strong interests in the design and development of engaging user experiences for enterprise web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.
- Apply critical thinking to a variety of complex user problems, taking into account business objectives and technical constraints
- Juggle varied tactical design responsibilities as assigned, which could include the creation of user flows, information architecture diagrams, wireframes, and high-resolution mockups
- Participate in design reviews with a range of cross-team stakeholders
- Researching interaction design trends
- Performing other duties as assigned
Skills
- 1-2 years of user experience design experience for web applications and/or mobile devices, or related coursework focusing on interaction, web, and/or product design
- Exceptional design skills, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop and associated design tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team and take direction
- Proactive, self-starter
Education
Studies in interaction design, product design or related field a plus.
