About Chatbooks
Chatbooks is a photo book company that makes it easy for families to turn their everyday phone photos into beautiful printed books. We're a fast-moving, performance-focused team based in Lehi, Utah, and our acquisition marketing team drives how we grow.
About the Role
We're looking for a curious, detail-oriented Acquisition Marketing Intern to support our paid media and affiliate channels. You'll work directly with our acquisition team across three channel areas — paid social, paid search, and non-PPC (affiliate) — with day-to-day responsibilities spanning creative briefing, reporting, and channel support.
Most of your work will be executional, but this role offers real exposure to how a performance marketing team operates, how creative briefs are built, and how data informs acquisition decisions. You'll join weekly team calls and be treated as a contributing member of the team, not just a task-taker.
What You'll Do
Paid Social / Paid Search — Creative Briefing & Analysis
- Assist in building and organizing ad creative briefs for paid social campaigns
- Support light creative performance analysis — tracking results and surfacing patterns
- Help maintain creative asset libraries and brief documentation
Non-PPC — Affiliate Channel Support
- Support day-to-day affiliate channel growth and tactical execution
- Update affiliate partner reporting and flag trends or anomalies for review
- Help manage partner communication logistics and keep tracking current
Reporting & General Support
- Pull and organize data from performance dashboards to support weekly team review
- Maintain and update reporting templates across channels as needs evolve
- Attend weekly acquisition team calls and stay close to channel priorities
What We're Looking For
Required
- Currently enrolled in a business, marketing, communications, or related program (or recently graduated)
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through — you complete tasks without needing to be reminded
- Clear written communication skills; comfortable summarizing data or drafting copy
- Comfortable learning new tools and working across spreadsheets and dashboards
Preferred
- Coursework or hands-on experience in digital marketing, advertising, or e-commerce
- Exposure to paid media platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads) or affiliate marketing — even from school projects or personal work counts
- Experience with any reporting or analytics tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, etc.)
What You'll Learn
- How a performance marketing team structures paid social and paid search acquisition campaigns
- The fundamentals of ad creative briefing — from insight to brief to execution
- How to read and interpret paid media performance data
- Affiliate marketing channel management and partner reporting
- How acquisition strategy, creative, and analytics work together at a growing direct-to-consumer brand
Equal Opportunity
Chatbooks is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. Individuals from non-traditional backgrounds or underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
