Senior Mentor - Graduate and Professional School Admissions Consulting (Remote/Flexible Hours)

Now Hiring: Senior Mentor and Training Consultant

Graduate & Professional School Admissions Consulting | Research & Dissertation Coaching

Freelance | Remote | $60/hour advising rate (USD)

Priority deadline: September 12, 2025.

Founded by a former UCLA faculty member and administrator, Another Degree is an independent educational consultancy specializing in graduate and professional school admissions guidance and preparation, research coaching, and academic career support. We work with individuals and institutions across disciplines.

We’re currently hiring for multiple freelance positions under the title Senior Mentor and Training Consultant.

About the Role

Senior Mentors provide one-on-one virtual advising to clients preparing for graduate and professional school. Depending on your background, you may also support clients as a research/dissertation coach or academic editor.

This is not a sales role. We’re looking for mentors who can build genuine trust and offer honest, informed, and encouraging guidance. We value experienced, empathetic education professionals who will help clients pursue ambitious goals while providing clear feedback, strategic scaffolding, and actionable next steps.

Senior Mentors may also contribute to training materials for incoming junior mentors, write blog content, assist with curriculum development for institutional partners, or lead virtual workshops on topics related to graduate admissions, research design, and academic success.

These roles are fully remote and offer flexible scheduling around your availability. We welcome candidates seeking casual or part-time work, with potential for expanded hours and performance bonuses as our operations grow.

Compensation

Senior Mentors are paid $60/hour (USD) for advising sessions. Additional compensation is available for approved writing, teaching, and curriculum development projects.
